I’ve heard of CIPO Software.  What is it?

CIPO was our product’s initial name.  It stands for Capital Improvement Program Office.  Over time, we renamed it to CMvizion to reflect its identity of being a web-based, integrated, and highly configurable Construction Management software.

Are software upgrades included in the service?

All CMvizion software upgrades and new releases are issued to clients without any additional costs, and are included in the base monthly cost.

How long does a the typical deployment take?

CMvizion is extremely easy to deploy and use. We can get your domain and server setup within days, not weeks or months.  Depending on your configuration needs (automated workflow, customized print-out forms, etc.) this really depends on the resources assigned to the project.  IT Vizion’s implementation team will hold your hand along every step of the way, so you’ll never be alone.

Product Functionality Questions

Does the software have the ability to notify on the fly – Ability to email an electronic link to a document out of the software to a project participant’s email client where they can access the file regardless of the file size?

Yes. Users can share one or many documents at a time through an email link or as attachments to users outside of CMvizion.

Is there a Business Process Automation (BPA) engine built-into the product?

CMvizion’s BPA engine is at the heart of our product.  It allows a client to create specific process workflows that meet their specific business needs.  Our BPA is configured before any project gets to the Go-Live stage, and can be modified at any stage.

Can your BPA engine have security permissions to allow that only identified roles initiate or respond to certain processes?

Yes. Our BPA engine is predefined by your internal business process workflow, which automates the document review and approval process.  The built-in security permissions ensure that only users that have a specific Role assigned to them on that specific project can take an action on a document.

Does the software provide manual, on-demand data import tools for budgets, budget changes, contracts, change orders, invoices, contacts, licensed users, BPA engine processes (e.g., submittals, RFIs)?

Yes. Our built-in integration module provides the ability to import on demand remote data on a predefined schedule, and create a mapping to existing fields. The module also provides a free SQL entry screen to filter which data to import.

What file formats does CMvizion’s Document Store support?

CMvizion supports the following file formats: dwg, zip, txt, pdf, doc, docx, docm, xls, xlsx, xlsm, ppt, pptx, msg, gif, png, jpg, jpeg, tif, tiff, mp3, wav, mpeg, mpg, mpe, mov, avi.  More can and will be added in the future.
